[www.inewsguyana.com] – A total of six races thus far have been carded for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club one day horse race meet set for May.
The feature event of the day will be for animals classified D and Lower for a distance of one mile and a first prize of half a million dollars.
Another event sure to garner the support of the Horse Racing Fraternity is the G1 event l for a $300,000 first prize and a six furlong distance.
‘I’ class animals will also have a seven furlong distance while two ‘J’ class races have also been listed. Both will go over six furlongs but the first will go for $200,000 and trophy and the other is for of $150,000.
Entries for the event close on Sunday, May 11. The event is set for May 18at the club’s bush lot farm, Corentyne, Berbice Facility.
