[www.inewsguyana.com] – Six more persons have been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Of the six, one pleaded guilty, while the others pleaded not guilty. The Police Force in a release today noted that Gordon Gilkes of Lot 93 Bel Air Street, Albouystown, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer December 13, 2014 while driving motor car PJJ 7933 on the Providence Public Road, EBD.
He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Providence Magistrate Court where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.
Abdool Khan of Lot 248 Duncan Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on the same day while driving motor car PRR 4327 on the Providence Public Road and found to be above the legal alcohol limit.
He pleaded not guilty. Additionally, Jagnandan Kawar of Lot 54 Seaforth Street, Campbellville, was also found to be driving under the influence while driving motor car PPP 82 on the same road.
He appeared at the Providence Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded not guilty.
Junior Cupidore of Lot 36 Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway was also charged with the same offence and also pleaded not guilty.
Marlon Baichu of Lot 17 Grove, EBD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on December 13, 2014 while driving motor car PRR 3195 on the Providence Public Road.
He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol and was charged. He pleaded not guilty.
Ravi Khan of Lot 477 Herstelling Public Road, EBD, was also tested while driving motor car PHH 9878 on the Providence Public Road. He too was charged and pleaded not guilty.
This is the way to go stop the bribes, lets see how many more will go before the courts, this is just the start of great police work,,the courts have to finish the job,I know not many ppl will like this but the law also have to go for us all even the BIG BOYS,,and GIRLS,,they have to stop them also not only the poor man,,the fancy guys wave and drive on ,,GREAT work
