[www.inewsguyana.com] – Hospital Officials confirmed moments ago that 44 – year – old Wendell Liverpool who was shot several times on Friday night (June 20), is still in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Liverpool, a popular money changer along America Street, Georgetown was in the area imbibing with others just around mid-night when he was attacked and shot several times about the body, including his back.
He was rushed to the GPHC, after attempting to run and later collapsing, where he was admitted and listed as critical.
The perpetrator is reported to have calmly walked away from the scene following the attacked on Liverpool’s life. He took with him some of the man’s cash and other valuables.
No other information is currently available. Efforts to secure a comment from investigators of the Guyana Police Force were futile.
