[www.inewsguyana.com] – Grande de Roja of the Jumbo Jet stables carted off the feature C class and lower 1400M event of the Bush Lot United Turf Club one day meet.
The event held in collaboration with the Inshan Bacchus ‘Hard Running’s’ Trucking Service and Nazrudeen “Jumbo Jet ‘Junior’ Mohammed was held at the club’s entity Sea ViewPark, West Coast Berbice.
Grande De Roja lead a jumbo jet one, two with Got To Go racing in second ahead of ‘Red and Lovely’ and ‘Damascus Dream’ to take the $1M first prize and the Bacchus Trucking Service trophy.
Meanwhile, ‘Flying Baby’ of the Mohammed ‘Nankoo’ Shariff Stable outclassed ‘Above and Cat Messiah’ to ride away with the three year event for West Indies maiden and Guyana Bred horses, $400,000 and the Phagoo General Store trophy.
‘Today is My Day’ of the Jumbo Jet stables stole the 1200M event for two year old West Indies bred horses beating off Unsettled, Settling Jet and Shooting Star for a $300,000 win and the Bharrat Sookdeo trophy.
‘Fresh Again’ carted off the F and lower 1400M event, cashing in on the $400,000 winner’s purse and the banks DIH trophy ahead of Princess Alicia, Work Force and Captain Crook.
The G3 and lower 1300m saw the Shariff stable’s Damascus Dream galloping off with the $300,000 winners money and trophy from Top of the Line, Rock Sonia and War Craft. The K class race was won by ‘Wicked Revenge’.
Over 75 horses took part in the day’s activity with over $7M up for grabs. The coordinator was Lakeram ‘Buddy’ Sukdeo.
