The COVID-19 Taskforce on Saturday evening arrested several persons at a club on North Road, Georgetown, for breaching the COVID-19 guidelines.
In a CCTV footage seen by this publication, members of the Joint Services were forcefully removing the iron gate at the club, after they were informed that patrons were allegedly hiding inside the building.
After some time of welding off the gates, the Joint Services finally managed to enter the building.
The footage showed officers lining up the patrons outside of the building after which they were ordered into a bus.
They were subsequently arrested. Over the past weeks, several night spots in Georgetown, on the East Coast and East Bank of Demerara were shut down by the National Task Force.
