Bright smiles, happy faces, lots of kites. These could be found everywhere you looked yesterday (Easter Monday). The joy in the air was contagious as families across the country came out in their numbers – picnicking, kite flying and generally enjoying themselves on the final day of the Easter festival.
In Georgetown, the Botanical Gardens, National Park and the sea wall were packed with families. Every year, these areas are hot spots for Easter activities and this year was no different. Kites of all colours, sizes, and shapes filled the air as adults and children alike hoisted them high.
