Lawyers in Russia have actually started debating whether a goat/tiger friendship at a zoo was a piece of gay propaganda.
There wasn’t any guy-on-guy action and Amur the tiger did actually attack Timur the goat at one point, but that’s got Russian President Vladimir Putin’s lackies’ knickers in a twist.
Lawyer Alexei Krestyanov said last month: ‘I think the positive coverage of this topic is nothing less than interference in the personal lives of minors, which is what hidden propaganda is, and public, active imposition of homosexuality.’
Well now those comments are being taken seriously and the prosecutor’s office is actually looking into it.
Amur surprised the world when he was given a goat to eat – but made friends with him instead.
And the friendship even saw Amur give up his bed for best mate Timur.
But then that friendship came to a bitter end after video emerged of Amur biting Timur after the goat got a bit cocky and started headbutting the tiger.
Dmitry Mezentsev, general director of the Primorsky Safari Park in Russia, said: ‘Timur went beyond all limits.
‘He pushed Amur away from their hill with his horns; he butted him with his horns and kicked him with his legs.’
Not unexpectedly, the tiger was unimpressed. (UK Metro article by Richard Hartley-Parkinson)
