[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Police Force managed to recapture Rayon Paddy, who escaped from the Georgetown Public Hospital while under police guard in January shortly after robbing the Popeye’s Fast Food outlet on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown.
According to a police report, Paddy was captured on Friday evening, while another man who was wanted in connection with several armed robberies was also arrested.
During the operation, the police recovered a .32 semi-automatic pistol with 12 rounds along with seventeen (17) rounds 5.56 calibre ammunition and a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.
Paddy, 26 years, of South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown had been shot and injured by an off duty policeman during the armed robbery at Popeye’s Restaurant.
Both men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
