[www.inewsguyana.com] – Action in the Georgetown Football Association’s (GFA) Stag Beer Fustal competition continued on Tuesday, November 11 with quarterfinal action where Riddim Squad and Western Tigers progressed to the semi – final stage at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Riddim Squad outclassed Black Water for a 6-1 victory as the team displayed a fluent offensive attack which was led by Amos Ramsey, who netted a hat-trick, scoring in the 2nd, 7th and 25th minutes.
Dorville Stewart (9th), Teon Jones (18th) and Seyon Hope (24th) were the other scores for Riddim Squad while Colin Peters in the 23rd minute struck with a consolation goal for Black Water.
Meanwhile, the Western Tigers capped a 3-nil victory over beacon FC to secure the place in the semifinal round.
Randolph Wagner struck the back of the net twice for Western in the 18th and 29th minutes while Joshua Britton added a goal in the 28th minute.
In three exhibition games during the night, the media team was defeated 3 – 5 by Prestige Barbershop while Customs defeated Upper Level Barbershop 3-0. Sparta Domino Club dominated Mix-Up Domino club with a 5-1 drubbing.
