[www.inewsguyana.com] – Sixty – three year old Rice Farmer, Fyusa Hussain is nursing a gunshot wound to the head following a robbery today, Friday April 24 at Water Street, Georgetown.
A police report noted that at about 13:50 hrs, Hussain of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, had just parked his motor vehicle at Water Street, Georgetown, when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
The perpetrators demanded a bag with $2.5M that he had in his possession and Hussain resisted when he was shot to his head in the process. The men then took away the bag with the money and escaped on a motor cycle.
Hussain has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.

This MADNESS has to stop, it is time the GPF start doing road blocks, stop and search also appoint the tactical unit to carry out community or house searches with out warning. So That this kind or madness can be halted. Guyana has too small of a population for this amount of shootings killings and robberies. I know that the Police Force can handle this. first let’s get the guns off the streets by way of heavy fines and seizure of assets of anyone found importing, carrying, hoarding or trafficking in guns and ammunitions.
