A repeat robbery-under-arms offender has been taken into police custody in connection with a robbery attack on a pump attendant at Friendship, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Thursday evening.
This was confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer (ag), Shivpersaud Bacchus via a telephone conversation with INews earlier today.
According to police reports, the suspect was recently released from prison after serving time for a previous Robbery-Under-Arms charge.
After he was taken into custody regarding the robbery attack on the pump attendant- whom he managed to relieve of an undisclosed sum of cash- the suspect reportedly implicated a female.
Police have since confirmed that the woman was found to be in possession of the motorcycle which was allegedly used by the suspect to commit the crime.
Investigations are ongoing.
