[www.inewsguyana.com] – Raymond Samaroo was once again placed before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer a charge of carjacking for the second time.

The 25 – year – old man had escaped from the Georgetown Public Hospital Psychiatric Clinic last month.

During his appearance on Wednesday, August 05 before Magistrate Ann McLennan, the court heard that on August 03 at Garnett Street Kitty, Georgetown he stole one motorcar valued $5M, one Samsung cell phone valued $25,000 and $30,000 cash, property of Rhonda Joaquin.

Samaroo pleaded not guilty to the charge. Police Prosecutor, Deniro Jones informed the court that the complainant had parked her car in Garnett Street and left to purchase Chinese food when the defendant jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away.
