Police on Sunday uncovered the skeletal remains of a missing man along a pathway leading to the Kuru Kururu Backlands, Linden- Soesdyke Highway.
A pair of multi-coloured trousers, green jersey, dark coloured tope, a pair of brown and cream slippers and a cutlass were found next to the remains.
The remains, along with the clothing and slippers, were taken to the Lyken Funeral Home while the cutlass was lodged at the Timehri Police Station to be analysed.
The clothing and slippers were subsequently identified as belonging to 45-year-old Trevor Chung, a farmer of Lot 5 Coverden, East Bank Demerara (EBD), who went missing mid-December.
The items were identified by a brother of the deceased man.
A statement was taken from Chung’s brother as Police continue their investigations.
