[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police sources have confirmed that the remains of 21-year-old Roshinee Pagwah, who dove from the Kaieteur Falls ten days ago have been recovered.
Officials explained that with assistance from the Guyana Defence Force, police were able to retrieve the body which was spotted days ago.
Despite being spotted, recovering the body proved to be a task and a half for the police force as it was in the gorge of the falls and the requisite resources were unavailable.
iNews understands that Pagwah’s body is currently at the Kaieteur Airstrip awaiting transportation to the city where it will be released to her relatives.
Pagwah was among a tour group of nine and two guides and was about to be taken back to their aircraft, when she turned, ran towards the Falls, and jumped into the gorge on November 21.
Prior to taking her own life, the young lady posed for several photographs at the Falls and reports indicate that she did not appear to be sad during the trip.
However reports and social media postings have speculated that the young lady may have been mourning the loss of an ex-boyfriend – who committed suicide five years ago.
