[www.inewsguyana.com] – The top National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) achievers from Region Six were rewarded for their good performance at the examinations by members of the business community in the Region.
During the opening ceremony of the 10th Annual Berbice Expo and Trade fair, Head of State President Donald Ramotar presented the students with trophies and other tokens.
The top achievers in the region are, Joel Persaud of Cropper Primary who shared to top spot with Simeon De Abreu of All Saints Primary and Grace Edwards of Rosignol Primary.
These three students all gained 518 marks each, and shared the first place position in the region. They were awarded places as Queen’s College. Fawaz Hannif of Rose Hall Primary came in second place with 517 marks and was also placed at Queen’s College.
The third place position was shared with Kishan Yashwardeo of Cumberland Primary and Keayla Vanderstoop of All Saints Primary. The each gained 515 marks and awarded places at Queen’s College.
