The prices of several categories of fuel have been reduced with effect from today (February 1, 2016), at all Guyana Oil Company (GuyOil) outlets in the country.
GINA reported that a check with the state company’s management today, revealed that the new prices have kicked into effect.
The reduction in fuel prices is one of the measures that were announced by Finance Minister, Winston Jordan during the presentation of the $230Billion National budget on Friday.
The prices of fuel have been reduced as follows:
Type of Fuel | Previous Retail Price/Litre | New Retail Price/Gal($) |
Gasoline
Dieseline Kerosene |
$190
$161 $120 |
$170
$150 $90 |

Ten us cents reduction in the gas? You should just leave it the way it was.
Gas in America right now is 1.50 per gallon
PPL don’t be fooled. The government, an any one for that matter of fact, can not put budgetary measures in place unless they are approved in parliament. So what they government is doing simple politics. They are keeping the prices high to get Tax windfalls!!!!!! Whilst we the ppl punishing.
