Recent knife killings under intense investigation

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The knife related killings stretching from last Friday to yesterday and which resulted in the deaths of five persons are still under active police investigation, according to Crime Chief, Leslie James.

Of the four killings, one killer committed suicide, one has gone into hiding and the two others are presently in police custody.

iNews has been informed that in the case of the Sunday night’s stabbing of GWI Supervisor, Curtis Mc Kinnon, the suspect, Nicola Joseph of Plantain Walk West Bank Demerara has been crying continuously while in custody as she claimed that she had no idea the man would have died.

Meanwhile, the police are still hunting the man who killed Candy Rawlins on Friday in their Crane Housing scheme home and then went into hiding. iNews has been informed that the police are working on some information it received from a relative of the dead woman.

With respect to the killing of homosexuals, Carl Sinclair and Jason John, the suspect, Samuel Bristol killed himself. Meanwhile, as it relates to the stabbing death incident at Mahaicony on Monday evening, the police are now moving to seek the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution in that matter.
