[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former Financial Director of the Private Sector Commission (PSC) Ramesh Persaud has been appointed Chairman of the body.
Persaud succeeds the late Ronald Webster who died on April 27, 2014. His last substantive position in the PSC was Vice-Chairman, a position he held since June 2013.
The Council of the PSC on Tuesday May 6 ratified the appointment of Persaud who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Private Enterprise Development (IPED).
Persaud is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts and holds an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watts University, Scotland.
He is the current Chairman of the Caribbean Micro Finance Alliance (CMFA), a regional network of Micro Finance Institutions and Credit Unions which spans nine Caribbean countries.
