As stated earlier in another article relating to the flood/rain. Efforts should be made to ensure that all pumps are in working condition and that back up pumps should be in place. Yes, global warming could be a contributing factor to the flooding in various regions however, if pumps are not in working order prior to rain storm and they are not fixed, the workers or management are not doing an effective job. That is not global warming problem it is neglect and inept. Workers and supervisors are paid to ensure that all pumps, etc are in working condition. The work ethics need to be improved. If they are not doing an effective job, they need to be replaced with employees who are capable of doing an effective job.
Should we expect that every time it rains, we should expect a river or ocean in various regions. This is the 21st century, we have to wake up.
