The prime suspect who allegedly killed his colleague after he refused to perform oral sex on him during a drinking spree at Jack and Vieira Backdam, North West District, in June of this year, was on Wednesday nabbed at Mabaruma.
40-year-old Orland LaCruz of Pomeroon River was shot once to the neck and died almost immediately.
Inews had previously reported that the police were on the hunt for two male suspects.
It was reported that the victim (deceased) and the suspects were imbibing inside the camp, when an argument erupted over the refusal of the victim (LaCruz ) to reportedly perform oral sex on one of the suspects who was armed with a shotgun.
As a result, the armed suspect loaded the firearm with a cartridge which was allegedly given to him by the other suspect and he shot the victim to the right side of his neck, resulting in his death.
The prime suspect is expected to be charged with the capital offence of murder in soon.
