After days of protest action by the University of Guyana Students Society (UGSS) for improved services, President David Granger has agreed to meet with the head of the student body and a small group of students next week.
INews understands that the logistics are currently being worked out between the Ministry of the Presidency and the UGSS.
The purpose of this engagement is to discuss the welfare and issues raised by students of the Turkeyen Campus over the past week.
Students have expressed the view that since the University’s Administration is demanding increased tuition fees, it should also ensure that services offered by the institution are of a higher level.
