[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men and a woman were today charged with trafficking narcotics and remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Julius Joyce of Middle Road La Penitence, Ziggy Webester and Latoya Osborne of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara, all pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on November 14 at Middle Road La Penitence, Georgetown, they had in their possession of 257 grammes of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
The Court heard that the three defendants were allegedly caught red-handed parceling off the drug when the police made an unsuspecting raid in the Middle Road La Penitence house.
In a brief bail application by Attorney – at – Law, Paul Fung – A – Fat, the Court was told that Osborne is three months pregnant. The trio was remanded to prison and will return to court on November 24 before Magistrate Judy Latchman.
