PPP/C stages another picketing exercise in front of GECOM …SEE PHOTOS

Leaders and supporters of the Peoples Progressive Party/ Civic (PPP/C),  today, staged another peaceful picketing exercise in front of the Guyana Elections Commission’s (GECOM) Head Office in Kingston, Georgetown.

The party used the opportunity to renew its call for the recounting of ballots cast in the 2015 General and Regional Elections and the removal of the Chairman, Dr. Steve Surujbally.

  1. One year later and the PPP/CIVIC will not accept the fact that they were defeated in a democratic election. My guess is that not having access to the government “purse strings” there is no largess to fatten their ego centric desires. My goodness, how could conscientious citizens – like those pictured in this article – be cowed by the charlatans at Freedom House to carry placards, when there is clear evidence that we are better off today than we were prior to the 2015 elections. I can see that and I did not vote for the present government.

I believe,it is FOOLISH for the PPP to continue protesting the loss of the last general elections more than a year later.They had invited the foreign reporters then,to be here to witness or oversee these elections.These same reporters and others made it quite clear,that the elections were FREE and FAIR.Since then,the PPP has been crying foul,while accusing GECOM of FRAUD.It is most unfortunate,that a party can believe it must win elections all the time.Even playing cricket,or other games,you cannot win all the time.These are individuals,who are STILL living in a FOOL`S PARADISE.

  3. This is soo good to see the PPP supporter coming out. Someone needs to remind the PNC regime that they were installed. However, the treasury maybe broke on some of the irresponsible steps taken in the last few days….Like implementing the WELFARE system to hand out tax payer dollars to the lazy families….We see FELIX handed out 9M dollar worth of groceries to NON-INDO Guyanese…>What a shame!
