[www.inewsguyana.com] – The opposition People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has over the past two days conducting outreach meetings to communities in Region 5 (West Berbice).
These outreaches were led by Leader of the Opposition and former President Bharrat Jagdeo.
The opposition party has been updating communities on issues relating to the economy, rice and sugar industry. One topic that was reportedly featured at the meetings was the on-going controversy over the Government’s decision to award itself a 50% increase in salary. Both non-governmental groups and political parties have protested this move.
iN was told that with impending local government elections, the opposition party is expected to intensify outreach meetings across the country.

Get real? Granger filling his pocket? Please check the pension agreement that your Jagdeo put in place for himself prior to demitting office. How can a country as poor as Guyana afford a pension package that pays its former President more than that of the President of the United States, the leader of the free world? This is what your man designed for himself BEFORE he left office, and you have the unmitigated gall to speak about President Granger “fulling his pocket?” Go fly a kite.
To the Guyanese people please take note that you put these people in power to make a change and look what they are doing to this country. They start fulling their pockets . In six weeks they gave themselves a handsome increase, and the reason for this is they do not want their ministers to steal. They are worst than the other bunch of crooks.
Where were YOU all these years? Hibernating? BUBU in your eyes?
Think! Reason! Re-Consider!
Gloriay granger doesn’t have the time to do what you are telling him to do. He is busy fulling his pocket. Get real!!
It is clear that Mr Jagdei is embarking on an election campaign that will last for five years. APNU/ AFC Coalition please take note. You must follow suit and not fail to communicate with your base, and maintain an ongoing dialogue with all the regions at regular intervals. Communication among other things is the key to your success. Pay attention.
Dr. Jagdeo please do all you can to take this country back. Guyanese simply cannot continue to live under this Defacto Granger Administration. We need a government that takes accountability and listens to the people. This Colation is made up with a bunch of arrogant men who only wants to full their pockets.
