[www.inewsguyana.com] – Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo has revealed that two People’s Progressive Party (PPP) nominated Commissioners to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) have resigned and will soon be replaced.
According to Jagdeo, Mohamood Shaw and Athmaram Mangar have resigned from their posts at GECOM for personal reasons. The Opposition Leader indicated that already the PPP have found two replacements for the Commissioners in the names of Robeson Benn and Bibi Shaddick, both of whom are former PPP government Ministers.
At a press conference on Tuesday, September 08, 2015 at Freedom House, Jagdeo denied that the PPP had asked the Commissioners to resign despite the Party indicating its decision to pursue that path some months ago.
“The Party is considering ways of improving its future representation at GECOM….Central Committee also recognized the need to strengthen the Party both organizationally and ideologically and also to introduce some changes at the Party, Parliamentary and GECOM levels,” a statement from the PPP noted on May 19, shortly after the PPP lost the May 11 general and regional elections.
Veronika stop you too much. But y right though. Crooks parade.
They are left to the mercy of PNC supporters!!!! A better word, not the only one should have been used in the place of supporters. That word could or should be hooligans. There are many PNC supporters who do not behave like hooligans. These are the ones who have been trained by the PNC and bussed In at the appropriate times. I is Simona Broomes is qualified to be one of the trained ones. She has no decorum
Ok now walk in the corner and stay away from dressing up nice in tie and suit to be wolf in sheep clothing. Go now and behaviour like professionals and keep on the honest side of the road.
PPP were told so many times that they have to place citizen with guts belly and balls to be in GECOM to represent PPPC interest if not PPP will never win another election. Imagine PPP sending some innocent poor sap to work in polling boots in PNC strongholds what you think will happen? No protection for PPPC election day workers. They are left to the mercy of PNC supporters.
Ha ha…two corrupt idiots… Well, if they can read and write why not … Just might have a problem counting….
