[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Commissioner, Sase Gunraj is once again calling on Chief Elections Officer, Keith Lowenfield to release disaggregated information regarding the May 11, 2015 General and Regional Elections.

According to a press statement from Gunraj, who is a People’s Progressive Party (PPP) nominated Commissioner, the Commission had “unanimously taken a decision to release the information, but Lowenfield is yet to comply.

“At a meeting of the Guyana Elections Commission held on the 2nd day of June, 2015, the Commission took a decision, unanimously, that the Chief Elections Officer of the Guyana Elections Commission will release the results of the 2015 General and Regional Elections, disaggregated by polling station,” the press statement noted.

The release also pointed out that at the meeting, the Chief Elections Officer indicated to the Commission that the disaggregated results were ready hence it was the expectation of the Commission that these results would have been released with dispatch.

“This decision followed a previous formal request I made to the Chief Elections Officer for, inter alia, the said results…I have made several attempts to contact the Office of the Chief Elections Officer, for the promised results, without success. Up to the 5th day of June, 2015, the Chief Elections Officer is yet to provide these results,” Gunraj said in the statement.
