[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Post Mortem Examination performed on the body of a 22-year-old young woman whose body was found in the Pomeroon River has shown that she died from incise wounds.
The bodies of Attika Sukhai, and her two-year-old daughter Xolani Sukhai were discovered in the Pomeroon River on Sunday.
The PME showed that Xolani Sukhai died of asphyxiation due to drowning.
A man is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Incised wounds are usually caused by a clean, sharp-edged object such as a knife, razor, or glass splinter. Lacerations, irregular tear-like wounds caused by some blunt trauma.
