[www.inewsguyana.com] – The majority of iNews respondents believe that political parties contesting the May 11 general and regional elections should place more attention on issues affecting the country, rather than attacking personalities on the opposing side.

In response to the poll: Do you think political parties should put more attention on issues rather than on personalities in their campaigns? – 96 percent voted ‘yes’; three percent voted ‘no’ and a mere one percent was undecided.

Since the commencement of the elections campaign, politicians from both sides have launched ‘name calling’ attacks and criticizing personalities instead of dealing with policies and issues of the country.
