[www.inewsguyana.com] – After the Guyana Police Force released the photographs of the suspects in the Debra Blackman killing, persons have come forward with information which investigators are hoping will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
According to Crime Chief Leslie James, the information that citizens have provided is being verified.
Asked if the information was solid, James said he could not measure the response they have received but remains hopeful that it will lead ranks to the woman’s murder(s).
Fifty four – year – old Blackman was shot and killed on Saturday August 23 while working at the Delicious Chinese Restaurant on Durban Street.
According to reports two men pulled up on a jailing motorcycle and one of them entered the restaurant; shortly after, there was a loud explosion and the man who entered the restaurant was seen racing back to the motorcycle before it sped off.
iNews understands that Blackman worked at the establishment for some fourteen years and experienced several robberies while standing behind the counter serving customers.
The images, released by the police, show the young man at the cashier counter engaging Blackman in a discussion before pushing his hand through the opening of the grill, shooting her to death.
