[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police say at about 23:15hrs on Thursday March 6 ranks of a police mobile patrol stopped and searched two men on a motor cycle at Plum Park, Sophia and found an unlicensed 9mm. pistol with one round and a .38 revolver with six rounds.
During efforts to arrest one of the men he was shot to his legs.
The injured man was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was admitted under guard, while the other man is in police custody.
Investigations are in progress.
