Less than one week after the murder of a 46-year-old legal clerk in his Kuru Kururu, Linden/Soesdyke Highway home, a police source has disclosed that they are presently hunting a person of interest.
On Thursday last, the body of Gregory Frank was found in a pool of blood in his Lot 686 Kuru Kururu home.
Frank’s body was discovered about 04:30h, lying face down by his father, who occupied another house in the same yard.
The man reportedly saw the back door of his son’s house wide open, and after several calls went gone unanswered, he went inside to check on him.
Confronted with the sight of the legal clerk’s motionless body and the home ransacked, the elder Frank immediately raised an alarm.
Upon checking further, he realised that several valuable items belonging to his son had gone missing.
Checks also revealed that the dead man’s forehead was swollen, which suggested that he might have been struck to the head by his attacker..
The Police were summoned to the scene, and the body was removed to the Lyken Funeral Home.
The Police have since processed the scene for fingerprints.
A postmortem examination recently determined that the deceased met his demise as a result of asphyxiation due to compression injury to the neck compounded by blunt trauma to the head.
Investigations are continuing.
