[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police in ‘A’ Division assisted by ranks of the Tactical Service Unit this morning [Friday, August 15] arrested 54 persons following widespread searches carried out in several parts of the police division.
iNews was reliably informed that the areas searched included North Ruimveldt, Charlotte Street, Samantha Point, Grove, Kaneville, Tucville, Sophia and several other areas.
The police have been receiving numerous reports from time to time about characters in those areas. Those arrested will be profiled and finger prints will be taken and run against existing prints which were taken at various crime scenes.
Also during the search, the police were able to recover a shot gun in the home of the suspect who is accused of murdering Mark London yesterday in Kaneville on the East Bank of Demerara during robbery attempt.

Great work GPF, this is what needs to be done more often, to reduce the crime rate and reestablish the respect for the service. I have always held the GPF in high regards. Since in the 90’s after it was plagued with corrupt officers some dead and a few still remain, I have not lost confidence in you. So let’s step up and stand up Officers and reclaim your position in this great nation of ours. PS: I had relatives and family that served.
