[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have launched an investigation into the death of 30-year-old Chris Allicock, of Aruka River Mouth, North West District, which occurred Sunday last (October 06).
According to police reports, Allicock was involved in an altercation 39-year-old Rawle Khan, of Mabaruma Settlement during which Khan picked up a brick and pelted Allicock in his lower back.
Allicock was taken to the Mabaruma Hospital after he complained for pains in his back. He subsequently died.
Khan has since been arrested and is assisting the police in their investigation.
A post mortem examination was performed on Thursday (October 10) by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh via which the cause of death has been determined as a ruptured spleen caused by a hard object.
