[www.inewsguyana.com] – Close to one thousand residents from Albouystown, East La Penitence, Lodge and surrounding areas were treated to free medical attention on Saturday (July 12) compliments of the Guyana Police Force and its partners.
The outreach was organised by the Guyana Association of Women Police which was the first ever such event put together by the organization.
The outreach is in keeping with the activities of the Guyana Police Force 175th Anniversary. Among the health services which were available to the residents were blood pressure testing, the opportunity to donate blood, dental care, HIV and AIDS testing and counseling.
The residents thanked the Force for the initiative which they said caused them to save on their medical bills. There was also the issuance of medical supplies as prescribe by the doctor.
The event was also attended by Commander of the ‘A’ Division, Cliffton Hicken and several sub-division officers and senior officers from the Force, including the highest ranking female, Senior Superintendent, Maxine Graham. [Leroy Smith]
