[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police say they are investigating the fatal accident that occurred along the School Road, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara yesterday, Thursday, October 24 at about 15:00hrs.
Dead is 13 – year – old Rama Manoo of Seventh Street, Martyrs Ville, East Coast Demerara.
According to police, investigations have revealed that Manoo was riding a bicycle when he allegedly attempted to overtake motor lorry GKK 4058 during which he lost control of the bicycle. As a result he fell on the roadway and was crushed by the lorry.
Manoo was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
