An intelligence-led operation conducted by ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Wednesday at Ten Miles Backdam, Ituni, Upper Demerara River, has resulted in the destruction of a four-acre cannabis cultivation which had in excess of five thousand plants measuring from four inches to four feet.
There were also several nurseries with an estimated four thousand seedlings; a large quantity of dried cannabis and three make-shift camps. The Police said no arrests have been effected.
