[www.inewsguyana.com] – The People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R) elections campaign continues to receive a “favorable response” from the mass and has the Party feeling more confident than ever as it prepares for possible snap elections, according to the Party’s Region 2 Campaign Manager and APNU’s Member of Parliament, Christopher Jones.

During a telephone interview with iNews on Sunday September, 07, Jones told iNews that the favorable response has been coming from non-tradition support areas of the Party.

He also related that many of the persons they have interacted with have expressed a lack of confidence in the ruling People’s Progressive Party and are calling for a change in governance.

“Voters from the PPP’s strong hold areas believe that they have lost major support because of their governance style,” Jones explained.

He further noted that even though the response is favorable, the people are still calling for reassurance from the PNC that it will not do the same as the Donald Ramotar led administration.

The APNU MP also said the Party activists are being requested to visit and interact with residents from a number of areas as the people are eager for a change.

The PNC/R has gone into full elections mode as it prepares for a possible snap elections, after the APNU supported the Alliance for Change’s ‘No confidence’ motion that is expected to be debated in Parliament when it reconvenes in October.
