Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo today (Monday), at the conclusion of the National Security Meeting at Camp Ayanganna, urged journalists to report accurate and factual information relating to the current situation in the country.
“People need the information. It is a moment of anxiety and before you (media operatives) allow the rumours to take root, you need to fill the space with accurate and factual reports. It is very important in situations like this,” the Prime Minister was quoted in a government release as saying.
Additionally, Prime Minister Nagamootoo commended government media operatives, particularly for the coverage and information that was provided last evening to the public as events unfolded at the Georgetown Prison, the release added.
