[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty-three – year old Businessman Ashok Raghu was this afternoon [Monday, August 18] gunned down in his vehicle, while driving on Vlissengen Road, next to the Botanical Gardens.
According to reports, the man and his wife, Sherzanie Raghu who was also shot, had just left a city bank and were at the traffic lights next to the Botanical Gardens when they were confronted by two gunmen on a CG motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses told iNews that the businessman tried to put up a fight with the gunmen, when he was shot and killed, while his wife was shot in the thigh. The perpetrators allegedly took a bag containing cash and fled the scene.
They were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The Pike Street, Campbellville family were understandably traumatized and reluctant to speak more to the media.
However, one of Raghu’s daughters, Vanita told reporters at the hospital that her mother, called and informed them of what took place and that was when they rushed down to the hospital.
The bandits reportedly trailed the man and his wife from the Bank.
The family is hoping that the CCTV cameras in the area will help the police to apprehend the bandits.
They should make the criminal eat paper money until he dies of some painful side effects.
The formula is simple!!!…join the police force, get the associate tool/s (ya know wa a mean) and then kill the ..RIP my bro..
These innocent people will Always be gun down by these losers. They have to arm themselves even when going to the bank, like what the other guy did when they try to Robb him. Gunned these filthy losers off the streets..
Now this is what I am talking about. Crimes like this should be meet with the harshest of punishment when the right perpetrators are caught they should be lost away in prison with hard labor or hang by the neck until dead.
My prayers goes out the the grieving family on their loss.
