[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – three – year – old Labourer of Yarrowkabra accused of murdering a female taxi driver at Soesdyke made another appearance before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on Thursday, April 10.
The date of the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) was set for May 27, after Police Prosecutor, Bharat Mangru informed the Court that all investigations regarding the matter are completed.
Sylvester “Rambo” Bristol appeared in Court on February 18, last and was not required to plea to the charge.
It is alleged that between February 15 and 16 at Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara, he murdered Savitiri Palmer.
Palmer’s body was reportedly discovered in a clump of bushes two miles from where her vehicle had been found at the back of a resort on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. The woman had reportedly left her Soesdyke home with the intention of dropping two persons at a loam pit in Timehri, and had taken along her son for the ride.
