Nets ambushed the Trinity Grid Holding (TGH) Pacesetters 75-57 following a big night for forwards Drumson McCulley and Mortimer Williams.
They both scored 19 points in the win against the number one seeded Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) team.
Meanwhile, Randy Richardson scored 16 points for Pacesetters that played Pepsi Sonics. The Sonics ensured that they were set to meet the nets in the next encounter following their 67-43 victory against the panther in the other Division I game.
Trevor Smith scored 18 points for Sonics in that game Saturday night while Panthers’ Kevin Cumberbatch and Olatunde Griffith had 10 points each.
In the Division III competition, Pacesetters outclassed the Eagles 88-50 in a game they had to win by at least 30 points to continue in that competition.
Forward, Dwight Grey came up big with 20 points for Pacesetters at the Division III level.
