Persaud posted a gross of 144 to lead all golfers, as he made the game look easy with sizzling shot selection as well as intense concentration. Last year’s winner of the tournament, Avindra Kishore, was second with a gross of 153.
Meanwhile, Joaan Deo played one of her best games in her career, upsetting long time Champion, Christine Sukhram.
Deo was in tip top form registering a net of 141 to be crowned the new champion while Sukhram fell all the way to third with a net of 149. Shanella Webster was second with a net of 146.
Digicel’s Events and Sponsorship Manager, Gavin Hope was impressed with the level of golf as well as the packed out golf club, calling it “the biggest crowd he has seen since Digicel came into golf”.
The players received their trophies at the presentation ceremony held immediately after the tournament.
