[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man professing to be a Pastor and who is accused of forgery and simple larceny on Tuesday made his first court appearance before Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the offences.
It is alleged that 50 – year – old Nobert Bailey of Section A-Block X Diamond, East Bank Demerara on Wednesday August 19, with intent to defraud he obtained from Dorette Bowan the sum of $500,000 GC by falsely pretending to sell her motor car HB 4446 while knowing same to be false.
It is alleged, that Bailey on September 28, 2015 in Georgetown with intent to defraud; he uttered to Dorette Bowan nine forged Demerara Bank Statements, knowing same to be forged.
In addition to that, Nobert Bailey on Wednesday September 30, 2015 in Georgetown, he stole from Strategic Security Services, one Demerara Bank Cheque, the property of Richard Kannai.
Nobert Bailey, who pleaded not guilty to all three offences, was placed on $150,000 bail.
He is schedule to re-appear in court on October 21.
