[www.inewsguyana.com] – Christopher Baichan, 19 years, of Oleander Gardens, East coast Demerara lost his life this after mid night this morning following an accident on the main road at Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara.
According to police, investigations have revealed that Baichan was an occupant in a motor car that was allegedly being driven at a fast rate, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a fence.
Baichan received injuries and succumbed while receiving medical treatment at a city hospital.
The driver was tested and found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Meanwhile, the police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who has been identified as Hemchand Ramgewan, 65 years, of Hubu, East Bank Essequibo.
The man’s body was found with injuries on the main road at De Kendren, West Coast Demerara.
