[www.inewsguyana.com] – The parents of the nine day old baby boy, who was kidnapped on Saturday, May 24 in Port Mourant, Berbice, are pleading with the kidnapper to return the baby unharmed.
The child’s mother, 22 – year – old Sandra McLean was in tears when she related to iNews how her innocent child was taken from her. She said the family is willing to pay or give the woman all they own for the safe return of their youngest child.
The baby was scheduled to be registered today (Tuesday, May 27) and is yet to receive his vaccines. As such, the mother is fearful that the child might become sick if he does not receive medical care.
The child’s father, 23 – year – old Ravikant Bistonauth, who is yet to see or even hold his youngest explained to iNews that due to his religious beliefs, he was not allowed to see the child.
After the child’s birth, the parents visited a Hindu religious leader and were told that the father could not see the child until twenty-one days, because if he did, it would bring disaster to the family.
The mother is upset that she is being accused of selling her child for $200,000 and questioned why she would carry her son for nine months, only to sell him.
The woman who disappeared with the infant goes by the name of Bibi Khan and is reportedly based in Suriname.
