At approximately 20:00hrs on Friday, Police, acting on a tip-off, conducted a raid on a West Coast Demerara home where a quantity of cocaine and cannabis was found.
According to an officer who spoke to INews earlier today, the search which was carried out at a house in Meten-Meer-Zorg, WCD, unearthed 229.2 grammes of cocaine as well as 114 grammes of cannabis.
According to the officer, the owner of the house was apprehended and will be charged with the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, as early as Monday.
