[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – two – year old Vidyawattie Persaud of No. 53 Village, Corentyne was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam Hospital shortly after the minibus she was in collided with another.
A police report noted that at about 10:35 hrs on Monday February 16, two mini-buses that were travelling in opposite directions along the public road at Wellington Park, Corentyne, collided with each other.
A number of passengers received injuries and were taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital. The driver of one of the vehicles is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
