A male teenager was killed earlier tonight in an accident that occurred in the vicinity of Bengal in East Berbice, Corentyne.
The accident is said to have occurred around 21:15hrs.
Reports are that a minibus travelling along the public road in the vicinity of Bengal collided with a moving motorcar. The two vehicles swirled out of control and crashed into a parked motor lorry. It is not clear which vehicle the teen was in at the time of the accident.
INews understands that, in addition to the death of the teen, one of the minibus passenger is currently in a critical condition and was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital for emergency medical treatment. INews will bring you more details in a subsequent report.
