The Incinerator on Princes Street, called ‘Ole Smokie’ came alive on Tuesday when the Guyana Police Force used it to destroy a large quantity of confiscated cannabis sativa (marijuana) worth millions of dollars.
Authorities on the scene were tightlipped on the details of the destruction. However, according to a press statement from the Police, the drugs are said to be from seizures of exhibits in court cases that have been completed.
The destruction took place Tuesday February 02, 2016, at 13:00hrs at the incinerator on Princes Street, Georgetown.
