A 23-year-old man is now dead after he was involved in an accident after the curfew began, on Monday at Saffon and Sussex Streets, Georgetown.
Dead is Terry Danraj, of Ogle Railway Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
According to information received, Danraj succumbed to his injuries around 13:30h on Tuesday while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Danraj was the lone passenger in motor car PSS 1314 when it collided with a trailer at approximately 21:00h on Monday at Saffon and Sussex Streets, Georgetown.
As a result of the collision, the East Coast Demerara resident suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital in an unconscious state. He reportedly took his last breath without regaining consciousness.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car was also hospitalised, but his condition is listed as stable.
The car was reportedly proceeding north along Saffon Street at a fast pace when it crashed into the trailer and pinned Danraj in the process.
Investigations are ongoing.
